We’re proud to be partnered with a leading renewable energy firm at the forefront of sustainable power infrastructure projects.
The business specialises in large-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System projects, helping drive Australia’s transition to clean energy and they are now looking to recruit a Land Acquisition Specialist with a strong knowledge of the Australian renewables market.
The Role:
As a Land Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for securing the land necessary for Solar and Battery Storage projects. You will identify suitable locations based on site feasibility, environmental considerations, and proximity to energy grids.
As a specialist you will negotiate with landowners, government authorities, and other stakeholders to obtain land rights, whether through purchase, lease, or easement agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:

Identify and assess potential project sites based on location, environmental impact, and feasibility for renewable energy development.

Negotiate land purchase, lease, or easement agreements with landowners, ensuring favourable terms for both parties.

Ensure compliance with legal, zoning, and regulatory requirements, working closely with legal teams and local authorities.

Conduct due diligence on land titles and ownership, resolving any issues related to property rights or encumbrances.

Manage stakeholder relationships with landowners, local communities, government agencies, and other key parties.

Collaborate with project teams (e.g., engineers, environmental experts) to align land acquisition with project timelines and technical needs.
Requirements:
(Whilst we are also hiring on potential, this is a key, senior position within the business)

Experience in land acquisition, preferably within the renewables or energy sector.

Strong negotiation and communication skills to work with landowners, stakeholders, and legal teams effectively.

Knowledge of land use laws, zoning regulations, and environmental compliance relevant to renewable energy projects.

Understanding of property rights, title research, and due diligence to resolve ownership and boundary issues.

Project management skills to handle multiple land deals and coordinate with internal teams and external parties.

Familiarity with renewable energy development processes and infrastructure needs.

Willingness to travel to meet with landowners and visit potential project sites, often in rural or remote areas.
