Scrum Master / Delivery Lead (Agile)

📍 Sydney / Parramatta (Hybrid)

📅 12-month contract

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on Scrum Master with strong delivery ownership to join a major financial services organisation supporting a high-profile consumer growth transformation program.

This is not a purely facilitation-focused Scrum Master role. You will operate as a hybrid Scrum Master / Delivery Lead, owning delivery from discovery through to release and go-live, ensuring squads are delivering meaningful outcomes rather than simply running agile ceremonies.

You’ll play a key role in standing up and leading a new agile squad, working closely with Product, Business Analysis and Engineering teams to deliver a mix of digital enhancements, platform changes and strategic initiatives across a large technology ecosystem.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Leading an agile squad delivering end-to-end initiatives from discovery to production release

  • Running agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimations, stand-ups and retrospectives

  • Owning delivery outcomes and ensuring teams remain focused on execution and value delivery

  • Supporting roadmap planning and forward delivery planning as investment continues across the program

  • Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Engineers to prioritise and deliver backlog items

  • Helping establish delivery structure for a new squad supporting digital growth initiatives

  • Driving accountability and momentum across delivery teams

ENVIRONMENT

  • You’ll be working across a modern technology ecosystem including:

  • Guidewire platforms

  • Azure-based environments

  • API and integration services (including MuleSoft)

  • Significant front-end digital work across consumer products

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience running Agile squads end-to-end

  • Strong delivery ownership — not just facilitation

  • Ability to clearly talk through real delivery examples and outcomes

  • Experience running estimations, retrospectives and sprint planning in practice

  • Strong stakeholder collaboration across Product, Engineering and Delivery

  • Financial services experience required

Insurance experience or Guidewire exposure would be beneficial but is not essential.

​
