Program Change Lead

  • Contract

  • NSW-based

  • On-site and in-field

We’re partnering with a major NSW-based organisation at the centre of a state-wide energy and solar transformation program. Driven by industry-wide reform, this program will fundamentally change how solar is approved, connected, managed and operated across the network — with real-world impact for households, tradies, industry and government alike.

You will partner closely with the current Change Lead before taking full ownership of change delivery across multiple, highly technical streams.

Key Responsibilities

This is program-level change, not a single project:

  • End-to-end change delivery across a complex, multi-stream transformation program

  • Operating model, Process, technology, people and support model redesign (including new teams and roles)

  • Major changes to existing operational processes

  • Readiness for significant industry “go-live” milestones and future market events

  • Heavy internal and external stakeholder change — including government interfaces

  • Large-scale workforce change in a unionised, blue-collar / field-based environment

You’ll be embedded in the program team, with strong executive sponsorship, budget, and genuine runway to do change properly.

What makes this role different
  • This is hands-on change delivery, not slideware

  • You’ll be in depots, not just boardrooms — talking straight, building trust, winning hearts and minds

  • Significant focus on capability uplift and training, including:

    • Designing practical, in-system and simulated training experiences

    • Preparing teams for real operational scenarios (not death-by-PowerPoint)

  • You’ll need to know where to lead, where to influence, and where not to overstep — governance matters here

About you

You’re a seasoned change operator who can handle ambiguity, pace and politics without losing credibility.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Senior Change Lead / Change Delivery Partner experience on complex, technical programs

  • Background in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or a similarly highly unionised, blue-collar environment

  • Strong understanding of government interfaces, regulatory environments and “red tape”

  • Proven ability to design and embed change across multiple workstreams

  • Exceptional stakeholder skills — from execs to frontline crews

  • A pragmatic, plain-English style that lands with operational teams

If you can’t talk the talk in depots and control rooms, this won’t be your gig.

The setup
  • 12-month fixed-term contract with strong likelihood of extension

  • Accrued days-off model for additional hours worked

  • Start ASAP preferred (January ideal; March latest)

  • Based in NSW, sitting within a high-performing program team that genuinely values change

Why consider it?
  • One of the most significant energy transition programs currently underway

  • Outstanding sponsorship and program leadership

  • Meaningful, visible impact — this will shape how solar and energy is managed for years to come

  • If you nail this, future opportunities across the program are very real

We are super excited to hear from you, learn more about you and tell you more about us. So hit APPLY now and let's catch-up.
