About the role

Most PMO roles focus on reporting what’s happening.

This role is about helping shape why it’s happening — and whether it’s actually delivering value.

We’re partnering with a large enterprise organisation undergoing significant transformation, and they’re looking for a senior portfolio governance professional to help uplift how investment decisions, prioritisation, governance and value realisation are managed across a broad portfolio of initiatives.

 

This is not a traditional “process police” PMO role.

They need someone pragmatic, commercially minded and confident operating in ambiguity — someone who can build frameworks that are fit-for-purpose, influence senior stakeholders, and help shift the conversation from:

 

“Are projects being delivered?”

to

“Are we delivering the right outcomes?”

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting portfolio-level governance, reporting and prioritisation across a large transformation portfolio

  • Designing and implementing frameworks for:

  • Portfolio governance

  • Value realisation

  • Prioritisation and investment planning

  • Translating delivery activity into meaningful executive insights and business outcomes

  • Preparing reporting and materials for senior governance committees and executive stakeholders

  • Reviewing initiatives and challenging assumptions before funding decisions are made

  • Helping uplift portfolio maturity in a practical, sustainable way

What they’re looking for
  • Strong experience in Portfolio Management / PMO / EPMO environments

  • Experience implementing governance or value realisation frameworks end-to-end

  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders from PM through to Executive level

  • Strong commercial thinking and strategic mindset

  • Pragmatic approach — someone comfortable working in the grey, not just following textbook governance
