ABOUT THE ROLE

There’s a shift happening in cyber right now — moving from “are we compliant?” to “how exposed are we, really?”

This role sits right in the middle of that shift.

​

We’re partnering with QBE on a Global Cyber Security Governance Specialist role within a growing team focused on cyber risk quantification, scenario modelling, and board-level reporting.

​

This isn’t a traditional governance role. It’s about taking complex cyber control data, risk signals and modelling outputs… and turning them into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll sit within a global function responsible for:

  • Translating cyber metrics and control performance into meaningful risk insights

  • Supporting cyber scenario modelling and risk quantification

  • Contributing to board and executive reporting

  • Working closely with stakeholders across security, risk and technology

  • Identifying gaps, improving metrics and driving better decision-making

The Environment

  • Global team (US + UK stakeholders — some early/late calls, balanced with flexibility)

  • High visibility with senior security and risk leaders

  • Growing capability — this space is still evolving, with real opportunity to shape it

What they’re looking for

  • Experience in cyber risk, governance or assurance (NIST / ISO27001 etc.)

  • Strong stakeholder engagement — this is critical

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language

  • Curiosity — someone who asks “what are we missing here?”

  • Consulting backgrounds work well (as long as it’s not purely external audit)
