The Company:
We’re proud to be partnered with a leading renewable energy firm at the forefront of sustainable power infrastructure projects.
The business specialises in large-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System projects, helping drive Australia’s transition to clean energy and they are now looking to recruit a Project Manager with a strong knowledge of the Australian renewables market.
The Role:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, such as solar farms or battery storage systems.
You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to regulatory and environmental standards whilst liaising with the wider team.
Responsibilities:

Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning, design, and procurement to construction, commissioning, and handover.

Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, landowners, and government bodies.

Ensure compliance with Australian renewable energy regulations, environmental standards, and local planning laws.

Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting plans as needed to address issues or delays.

Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies, including safety, environmental, and financial risks.

Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols are strictly followed on-site, in compliance with industry standards.

Prepare regular project reports for senior management and stakeholders, tracking milestones, costs, and any potential issues.
Requirements:
(Whilst we are also hiring on potential, this is a key, senior position within the business)

Proven experience in project management within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects.

Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies such as wind, solar, or energy storage systems, and their associated infrastructure.

Familiarity with Australian renewable energy regulations, environmental standards, and planning laws to ensure project compliance.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in managing project risks and mitigating delays or issues.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to report to senior management and interface with external parties.

Relevant qualifications such as a degree in engineering, project management, or a related field, with certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.
