About this role:

Our client is on an ambitious technology modernisation journey and to help them achieve their goals they are seeking an experienced and exceptional  Principal Architect to join their growing team. 

As the Principal Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining and driving the architectural vision of the technology modernisation program on a global scale, as well as managing a team of domain architects.  You will be responsible for providing strategic direction, technical & people leadership, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned architect to make a significant impact on the design and execution of a high profile, global transformation program.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and communicate the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for our projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architectural decisions with business objectives.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 3-4 solution architects responsible for foundational enterprise solution architectures

• Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, forecasting resource needs/costs 

• Establish architectural runways in a scaled Agile delivery environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience as a Principal Architect in the General Insurance industry

• Experience of utilising infrastructure architecture concepts and tools

• Experience in large scale digital transformation in a global environment

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.

• Solution Architecture team management experience
