This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established financial services company during a pivotal phase of technology modernisation and transformation.

In this role you will join the newly established DevOps team, helping drive the company’s transition to Agile practices, modern engineering methods, and advanced technology. Their goal is to equip development teams with the tools, automation, and expertise they need to efficiently build, deliver, and manage high-quality products.
​
Your primary focus will be on developing core platform functionalities, automating processes, and providing teams with the resources they need to enhance both the speed and quality of their deliveries.
​
In addition, you will play a key role in evolving our architecture from a traditional monolithic system to a cloud-native platform, ensuring operational efficiency throughout the transformation.
Responsibilities:

Build and maintain platform features and automation.

Establish DevOps standards and drive best practices.

Hands on coding to customize and configure tools manually.
-
Mentor and assist teams in adopting and using platform tools.

Collaborate with teams to streamline delivery and enhance operational efficiency.
About you:
-
Previous hands on experience in software development, preferably with .NET technologies (you will be dealing with a lot of Microsoft Tools and Windows deployment, so the ability to not just understand it but also write it is important)

A solid grasp of DevOps practices and operational principles.

Hands-on experience with cloud: AWS.

Proficiency in programming or scripting languages like C#, SQL, or PowerShell.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Understanding of security best practices for infrastructure and applications.

Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on automation and improving efficiency.
-
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, particularly in Agile environments.

Adaptability and willingness to turn your hand to anything.

Being a mid-level role, there is an expectation that you will still be developing your skillset in some areas so you will need to bring a passion for learning and a willingness to step outside your area of specialisation and current tech stack to learn.
