About this role:

As the Data Product Lead you will drive business value from data insights and data engineering. You will be responsible for the delivery and prioritisation of all data projects across the business.

​We are looking for someone who has the technical knowledge to be dangerous but the business stakeholder gravitas and management skills to work closely with non technical stakeholders. You will be the point of contact for all data driven business initiatives and projects, you will determine the prioritisation and team structure as well as being responsible for the delivery of the projects.

We are looking for someone that knows how to utilise the available data to drive the business need and produce data insights and reports for the business.

Some of the key initiatives will be using data to create predictive modelling and using data to produce customer insights which will better inform their strategy.

The organisation does follow Agile but their maturity is relatively low, so they are looking for someone that can bring some Agile uplift where needed. There is a lot of opportunity to bring process and approach efficiency and they would love someone who can drive a high performing mindset through best practices.

If you understand data and how to use it, you have run and delivered data projects and you have great stakeholder communication skills then this is the right role for you. Our client is very open to considering people with different skills within data.
 

Responsibilities:

As the point of contact for all the data initiatives and projects you need to understand what the business wants and then be able to offer them what they need. You will be the bridge between the already established data teams and the business.
They currently have a well established data engineering, science and insights team with accessible data sets through their datalake and data warehouse. So, this role is really bringing the business value.

Requirements:

• Experience having delivered data projects

• Experience within data & insights, data engineering or data science initiatives

• Experience having worked in an environment that has both blue collar and white-collar workforce

• Experience having worked in a regulated organisation

• Being across changes and enhancements to tech in the data industry

• Agile experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders
